I'm teaching my 1st scrapbooking/stamping class!!!

Happy Monday - um, ok. Doesn’t seem like those words should go together, but you gotta try, ya know? HAPPY TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!!! A big woot-woot to all those amazing teachers out there!!! I know we love ours! I’ve been going crazy making gifts, and will share them this entire week :D.

Today, though, I wanted to post about something I am so SUPER thrilled to finally be able to share with/show you!! I’m officially teaching my 1st scrapbooking class at Paper Niche!!! Do you hear me squealing with delight right now! My class will be @ the Niche on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 2pm-4pm.

The girls in the store have helped me so much! I appreciate them all {Tammy, Veronica, Gine, Krista & Bonita) so very much. Their encouragement alone has been an amazing gift! THANKS PAPER NICHE GIRLS!!!

Ok, so this is going to be a really cool class too!! Mainly because it combine awesome products (American Crafts, Pebbles, Prima, Zva, Distress Inks, Mist...sigh) with Lawn Fawn Stamps - my fave!!! It can’t get much better than that, in my book. Here is a look at my samples:

The class is called “Pictures in Time” and you can choose between creating 2 different layouts - hooray for choices!! So, when you/they/whoever signs up for the class they will choose either the “boyish” (American Crafts - Campy Trails) layout or the “girlish” (Pebbles - Everafter) layout to create. As you can see, my layouts are directed at the first years of my kiddos’ lives, but that’s not at all mandatory - how fun would it be to do a girls night out, a little princess’ birthday party, or a pampered girly pooch with the “girlish” LO??? And for the “boyish” LO, I’m thinking boy scouts, camping (of course), sports, or field trips. Endless possibilities!

This is also a class FILLED, and I mean filled, with awesome techniques too! There will be: stamping, paper piecing, distress inking, misting, masking, using punches in various ways, making handmade flowers from paper, and coloring gems with Copics. It will hold 13 (!!) 2 & a half x 2 & a half pictures (which can be assembled in class or afterward). So that’s it.

What do you guys think? Good for my 1st class? I’m so stinkin’ nervous I could die... but in a good way, and very excited to share my love of paper crafting with others. I’m also very excited to watch other create - it’s fun to see how everyone does the same things in different ways. Here are some closer looks of the individual pages:

Thank God for digital pictures, right?? I have almost NO pictures from when I was a baby. My mom would absolutely not be able to make a chronological scrapbook page of my 1st year of life. I love that now-a-days we are able to do that. I think one day my babies and their families will look back and treasure these layouts! Lawn Fawn’s Say Cheese and Say Cheese Too Stamps are perfect for this type of layout.

Arent’t those some adorable babies?!? I know, I know, I am seriously biased! I always see so much alike in the two of them. Their eyes and smiles (not to mention their hair and complexions). Beautiful babies. They are, however, completely original and unique personality wise - nothing alike in that department. Not in the way they play, speak, eat... nothing!

Thanks for peeking in on me. Thanks for all the love! I truthfully am a better crafter because of you all - and your loving support! Encouragement is a crafter’s best friend! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!! I love my blog readers!!! Have an amazing day! I’ll be back tomorrow to share the abundance of Teacher Appreciation Day goodies I’ve been up to!
