A Wedding Gift ;)

We have a wedding to go to july 10, 2010 - for a couple from church. Their colors are Pink, Black, & Silver. Her fave color is Pink. I thiught what better gift to give them than a My Word album made with my new fave Bo Bunny line - Petal Pushers. These papers/stickers/embellies are SOOOOO cute I could hardly contain myself!!! It says "(It's) Our Day" (Sal says it's hard to read...blah). I'm starting to think I'm in a little rut?!? I've been so into flower making and my lil Martha Stewart Butterfly punch that the past few albums have included much of both. But.... I still like them. I like how they came out so there (Sal). Enjoy ;) and have a blessed day.

My Grandma

I've been enjoying my Grandma this past week and a half ;). It was really nice how my kids warmed right up to her. They can't wait to see her every day & all I hear is GG (for Great Grandma) this and GG that. It makes me really happy :D. Thought I'd post some pics of her visit!! It was really nice to get a few 4 generational pictures and just have a great time with her.

For my Grandma

This is a My Word albim I made for my grandma with Fancy Pants Designs' Antique Roadshow line (I'm falling deeply in love with this line!!). I was a little stressed with this little guy because she told me Saturday that she wanted one before she leaves (this Thursday night). I loved the Tea Pot that I made a few weeks ago with the same paper, so I went with that theme (you know antiquey). I made all of the flowers in the book except the 1st, which was Prima. I'm really happy with it & cant wait to give it to my Grandma. I love her so much and will miss her terribly when she goes.

Another day, another super cute mini!!

I made this last weekend (just now getting to posting)I bought the mini from Michael's for $1.00 - yep, $1.00. At the time I had no specific plans for it, but got inspired by the Fancy Pants Antique Roadshow!! Almost everything (paper & embellies) are from that line, with the exception of a few pins (maya Road & Making Memories) and the October Afternoon "mini market" letter stickers (I LOOOOOVE THESE!!!). I also used my Martha Stewart betterfly punches. I love how this turned out sooooo much!! It's one of my faves so far. It went to my grandma who is visiting from NY.

Mini Sunday :)

So on Sunday (this is after I taught Sunday School, helped our youth program wash cars for 3 hours for a fund raiser, and gave my family bunches of quality time) I made this lil cutie!! I really like this line of paper/flair from American Crafts and have used it to make baby Shower invites for a special friend and then also used it to make her a mini album when her baby was born. I made this to sell at a little craft sale we're having at church this coming Friday. It took me about 2 and a half hours, and I have to say, I love it so much I almost dont want to part with it, but I'm hoping someone falls in love with it & takes it off my hands.

Fun with "Friends"

Well I've been busy busy around here! I (finally) made my niece, Kristen, the "friends" mini she bought from Paper Niche when she was here (from NY) in April. I used the new Bo Bunny Peacock Lane papers/buttons/letter stickers. I love this line, and my niece is all about purple, which made it a natural pick!! I really like how it turned out! My new butterfly punch from Martha Stewart came in mighty handy as well - live that lil guy! Also, I must say, I'm having a BLAST making my own flowers these days!! Enjoy!

A Mini Book about my Paigepooh

This is a mini book I made for my niece Paige. My sister-in-law, Dawn, bought it (each letter is sold separately at Paper Niche-I think this is too cool) for me to make for Paige back in April and I just got motivated this weekend to do it. Started and finished it on Saturday - very proud of myself :D.

I LOVED the About a Girl line from Fancy Pants and knew I’d use it for something Paigepooh related. It just screamed Paige with all the pink girly stuff ;). She’s a very girly (tomboy) kinda girl.

So, the background on Paige is that she was actually born on our wedding day :D. She is my sister's daughter. She lives with my mom. Sal and I have helped raise her since she started living there when she was 6 months old. She was our “practice kid” as we liked to call her. I absolutely adore her. She’s such a sweet, kind soul. She sleeps over our house Wednesdays, Fridays and some Saturdays. We look at her as she's our own kid, but not. We don't make the day to day decisions about her, that's my mom's job - and she does a pretty good job!! She's on the honor roll, and is good at SO many things!! She's phenomenal at art and drawing. I just love love love her!!

I'm really happy how this turned out! I made every flower in the book and am super proud of that (just ask Sal!!). I made almost all of them by taking the ribbon in the About a Girl line (with the exception of one ribbon from the Antique Rad Show line). I did a running stitch along the bottom of the ribbon then pulled it, and formed it into a flower (thank you blog world for the tip - I'm sorry not to credit someone specifically, but I have seen the technique on so many blogs, and I believe CK also did an article about it). I've been wanting to try this for a long time and was so happy with the results!!
