Lawnscaping Challenge 51 - with a Non-traditional V-Day card :)

Hi there. Long time so see huh?!? Yes, I've been just really busy and not really making time for my crafty fun :( boo. I know. I did take some time last weekend to make a few cards though - and it was glorious! I missed it. A lot. I wanted to make a few Valentines Day cards - seeing as it's about that time. My son's class is doing something cool where the parents can come in early, before school, on V-Day and decorate their child's desks. Cute idea. Anyway, I made a couple cusie decorations to stick to his desk, but I also wanted to make him a card. This is it:
These are all October Afternoon patterned papers, buttons & twine from PaperTrey Ink, Wooden goodies from Studio Calico, and the the awesome "You make me Smile" stamp is from Lawn Fawn's "Hello Friend" stamp set :) I wanted to enter this into Lawnscapings (#51) V-Day Challenge
I know it's not very traditional, as far as Valentines Day Cards go, but I know it's perfect for this little guy ;)
I was inspired by the reds/browns in the LF inspiration photo. That's all for me today. Hopefully I get to crafting/posting more often. Kinda miss it ;). Have a great day!

  5. That's a neat idea your school had, to let parents come in early & decorate the desks. Your card turned out cool, and it also looks like a great way to use up scraps. TFS!
